Who is Cry of Silence?
Cry of Silence is an all-Asian rock band from Vancouver, BC Canada. They combine a unique mix of grunge, emo, nu-metal, and pop punk. The band’s first full length album entitled “Influence” lead to a couple of their songs featured on TV movie “Mother Of All Lies” and an episode of “Ties That Bind”. Years later, C.O.S released their new EP entitled “Community”, which is a “community-based” release to feature and pay tribute to various Vancouver-based producers and musicians. The band has grown to become not only active musicians, but also strong supporters in the local scene by putting together their own concerts at local venues and inviting other independent artists from British Columbia to share the stage. Cry of Silence have opened for big-name Asian stars including Bamboo (from the Philippines) and Asian-American rockers The Slants (from Portland Oregon). During the 2020 pandemic, the band continued to virtually collaborate and launch new tunes including an acoustic version of their song “Don’t Want You Near” featuring Sleeping With Sirens lead singer Kellin Quinn.
